Analysis Methods

IMACC Quantfy is a software application that allows the user to develop spectral processing "Methods" for transmission or radiance data analysis A processing method sets up the system to analyze for specific compounds while treating additional compounds which may be present as interferents. The Imacc software handles:
  •  Correction of interference from other compounds
  • Spectral line shift which can cause significant errors if present (caused by an unstable or poorly aligned instrument)
  • Non-linearity correction, present in all FTIR systems and a significant effect for many compounds
  • Real time background generation
  • Dynamic alteration of spectral references to account for changes in the measurement environment
  • Full treatment of passive FTIR radiance data for computation of gas concentrations

Quantify can also be used to batch process/reprocess a saved set of spectra allowing for improved Methods, references or backgrounds to be used to improve data analysis.

The Methods produced by Quantify are also used in the IMACC Scripting Environment to process real-time spectra.

IMACC Quantify includes:

  • Integral sample analysis for testing the method
  • Integral line shifting to test shift parameters and regions chosen
  • Definition of analysis regions and sub-windows for each compound to optimize the analysis and minimize interferences
  • Definition of reference spectra to be used for analysis and sets of references that can be dynamically chosen for real-time optimization
  • Calculation of spectral residuals which are reported as 2s error bars for each gas concentration

Imacc Quantify is provided with each FTIR system.
